Interests in science, nature and botany come together in JSTOR's Global Plants database!
Global Plants is a community-contributed database with more than two million high resolution plant type specimen images and other foundational materials. Features include:
- extensive flora and other reference materials, collectors’ correspondence and diaries, and tens of thousands of paintings, photographs, drawings, and other images
- objects from the collections of hundreds of herbaria around the world
- tools to view, tag, save and share objects
The content available on Global Plants has been contributed by the Global Plants Initiative (GPI). GPI is an international undertaking by leading herbaria to digitize and make available plant type specimens and other holdings used by botanists and others working in botany and other fields.
