Citing Full-text Articles within Online databases
MLA Style
Use these guidelines when citing journal articles found full-text within an online periodical index such as Academic Search Premier, InfoTrac OneFile, Wilson OmniFile, or LexisNexis. When using MLA style to cite full- text periodical articles from an electronic source, include the following information:
• author(s)
• full title of the article (include subtitle if present)
• title of the journal, magazine, or newspaper
• volume and issue numbers of the journal or magazine
• date of the publication (which may include month and day)
• page numbers
• for a work from a subscription service: the name of the service
• name of any company, institution, or organization sponsoring or associated
with the Web site
• date when the researcher accessed the source
• electronic address, or URL, of the source or, for a subscription service,
the URL of the service's main page (if known) or the keyword assigned by the
service
