FTP Access
Students must use Windows Explorer (not IE - Internet Explorer) and go to ftp://studentsftp.fairmontstate.edu in order to save, delete, or edit files stored on their FTP space,
To access the FTP server, open up
* [Computer] on Windows Vista OR
*
[My Documents] or [My Computer] on Windows XP
on the desktop.
In
the address bar, type
(If you are a student) ftp://studentsftp.fairmontstate.edu/
(If you are a faculty/staff member) ftp://ftp.fairmontstate.edu/
Hit [Enter] key, which should bring up the log-in screen.
Type
your UCA and password.
You can now drag your files to our ftp site and also drag and retrieve files from our server to your desktop.
For Internet Explorer 6 Users
1. Open the web browser Internet Explorer

(If you are a student) Click on this link ftp://studentsftp.fairmontstate.edu/ or
in the addresss bar, type the ftp address ftp://studentsftp.fairmontstate.edu/
(If you are a faculty/staff member) Click on this link ftp://ftp.fairmontstate.edu/ or in the address bar, type the ftp address ftp://ftp.fairmontstate.edu/
3. In the Log On As dialog, type your uca and password
4. Click Log On.
5. You can now drag your files to our ftp site and also drag and retrieve files from our server to your desktop.
Using FTP Client
Address :
(If you are a student) ftp://studentsftp.fairmontstate.edu/
(If you are a faculty/staff member) ftp://ftp.fairmontstate.edu/
User -- Your UCA username
Password -- Your UCA password
FileZilla - Open source SFTP/ FTP client for Windows.
Cyberduck - SFTP/FTP client for Mac OS X.
