Are your books due or overdue?
Email us firstname.lastname@example.org and we can renew your books. Make sure to include your full name in the email. Don't worry about late fees; we are waiving all overdue fines for the rest of the semester.
Please hold on to any library materials you currently have. The campus is closed so we cannot check them in. We will notify you when these materials can safely be returned. In the meantime, you can let us know what you have and we can renew them for you.
Continue to submit requests for journal articles (called photocopies) in Interlibrary Loan—a tab near the top of the library’s homepage. When the material is received at the Library, we will deliver it electronically. Physical books and media cannot be borrowed at this time.
ILLiad (interlibrary loan) is used to request materials not owned by the Fairmont State Library. Log in with your username and password. First-time users will need to answer a few contact information questions before requesting.
Moving to a remote operation doesn’t mean you’re left alone to navigate information questions. Reference librarians are available online to work with you on your research in a way that is convenient for you.
Get an answer to your research questions from a librarian using our chat service. See that blue “Ask Us” button in the top right corner of our homepage?
Did you know we own several thousand e-books? Our E-Books tabs lets you explore the entire collection. Additionally, we subscribe to 80 databases across multiple subjects. Our Databases tab is where you begin your search for articles in our collection.

Ebooks, articles, streaming video, and other electronic resources can be accessed 24/7 from the library homepage. Use the "Ask Us" button in the upper right corner of the page to chat with a Librarian.
