Renewals as needed, in person or by phone, unless someone has requested the item. All faculty are required to return all materials to the library at the end of each semester for verification. Such items can be checked out again at that time.
Faculty are not currently charged fines.
Users are charged the replacement cost of the item plus a $15.00 processing fee.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) assists Fairmont State faculty by obtaining library materials not available at our own libraries.
Electronic Reserves allow you to place a variety of materials in a password-protected online environment for your students to access. Your paper or electronic documents are turned into PDF files that will be accessible from wherever your students have access to the Internet. You can submit your e-reserve request on "E-Reserves Request".
If you have never used Electronic Reserves before, you will need to contact Charley Hively, Coordinator of Reference and Instructional Services, at 367-4617 or hhively@fairmontstate.edu to get an e-reserve faculty account created for you OR notify circulation personnel who will take the required information.
Requests can be e-mailed or sent via inter-campus mail to Sharon Mazure (Sharon.Mazure@fairmontstate.edu), the library director.

PCs are located on the ground, middle and top floors. 2 Mac computers are located on the ground floor Starbucks lab. .
To play compact discs that may have come with your textbook, or DVDs, stop at the circulation desk. You will need to check out an external CD/DVD player.

Requests can be made over the phone or online for materials to be placed on hold for patrons to pick up. These items will be placed at the Circulation desk and you will be notified when your request is filled.
The following items are available for use. Ask at the Circulation desk:
Digital Voice Recorders are available for semester loan checkout to Students at the Circulation Desk.
Two DVD players are available for seven day loans (available only to Faculty, Students, and Staff).
Patrons may also use the microwave located near the Circulation Desk.
If you've lost or found an item, the campus Lost and Found locations are the Circulation Desk at the Library and the Campus Security office in Pence Hall.
A mailbox is located in the Circulation area. The mail is picked up at Noon Monday thru Friday.
Restrooms and water fountains are available on all floors of the library.
A courtesy phone is available in the Circulation area for on-campus and local calls.
Note: Library Courtesy Phone cannot be used for calling cell phone numbers.
Cell phones must be turned off in the library, but can be used in the Circulation area or in the stairways.
