Interlibrary Loan (ILL) assists students by obtaining books or articles not available at our own libraries.
If your instructor has placed materials on Reserve, ask for them at the Circulation desk and show your school ID. Call 367-4733 for more information. You can also look up a specific course to see if the textbook is on Reserve using Course Reserves on WorldCat.
New Xerox printers/copiers are available in the library. You can print or copy in black and white or in color.
Your computer print function defaults to black and white, but you may change your choice to print color. Your account will be charged as follows:
Black and White : $0.06 per page
Color : $0.15 per page
Swipe your ID at any printer on campus to retrieve your print job.
If you wish to make copies, you will need your Fairmont State ID so that your account can be billed. You can also log in with your UCA and password to make copies or scan.
You may also scan in either black and white or in color at the copiers and email a document to yourself. Then you can make a print at the above charges.

Group study rooms are available on the middle and ground floors of the Library.

To play compact discs that may have come with your textbook, or DVDs, stop at the circulation desk. You will need to check out an external CD/DVD player.

Requests can be made over the phone or online for materials to be placed on hold for patrons to pick up. These items will be placed at the Circulation desk and you will be notified when your request is filled.
The following items are available for use. Ask at the Circulation desk:
Digital Voice Recorders are available for semester loan checkout to Students at the Circulation Desk.
Two DVD players are available for seven day loans (available only to Faculty, Students, and Staff).
Patrons may also use the microwave located near the Circulation Desk.
If you've lost or found an item, the campus Lost and Found locations are the Circulation Desk at the Library and the Campus Security office in Pence Hall.
A mailbox is located in the Circulation area. The mail is picked up at Noon Monday thru Friday.
Restrooms and water fountains are available on all floors of the library.
A courtesy phone is available in the Circulation area for on-campus and local calls.
Note: Library Courtesy Phone cannot be used for calling cell phone numbers.
Cell phones must be turned off in the library, but can be used in the Circulation area or in the stairways.
