Welcome Weekend is the first major program students will experience at Fairmont State and is designed for all new students living on and off campus or transferring to Fairmont State. Welcome Weekend includes a variety of events to help you become acclimated to campus, succeed academically, and meet your fellow students. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events, from Convocation to Paint Nights, service opportunities, and more!
Coming to college is a transition, and you will need some time and help to adjust. We know that students who attend Welcome Weekend are more confident when they start classes because they have had time to meet friends, know the expectations regarding academics, toured the campus, and have the campus resources needed to feel settled. There will be some required components to ensure students get the information they need.
