The Fairmont State University Assurance of Learning Office is committed to promoting academic excellence by
- Working with faculty and programs to ensure course learning outcomes and assessments are measurable and appropriate for the level of the course
- Working with programs to ensure program-level outcomes and assessments are measurable, appropriate, and in line with current field of study expectations
- Working with programs, departments, and colleges to develop timely review procedures for course reviews and prepare for program reviews
- Working with co-curricular departments to ensure they have the resources and programming to demonstrate their unique contributions to student success.
The Assurance of Learning Council includes representatives from across campus who guide their respective units in the assurance of learning process. The council members work collaboratively to refine university procedures related to continuous improvement
