  • Measurable
    • Use action words that can be measured (see the Bloom's Taxonomy list)
  • Aligned with the program outcomes
    • Use the program's curriculum map as a guide.

    • Make sure the action verb and skill/knowledge is appropriate for the course level
  • Time-bound
    • For course-level outcomes, can the outcome be successfully achieved by the end of the term?
