Fairmont State Basketball 6-3 Greatest Players since 2000

Isaiah Sanders 6th

Coming in at the 6th spot is Isaiah Sanders. Isaiah played 4 years at Fairmont State from 2019-2023. Some of his accomplishments include first team all-MEC 2x, second team all-region 2x, 2,000 points scored, and 1x MEC Conference Champion. However, what holds Isaiah back from being higher on this list was his inability to have many team accomplishments. Nonetheless, Isaiah is an extremely decorated player to come through FSU and will be remembered for years to come.

Jason Jolly 5th

Coming in at the 5th spot is Jason Jolly. He played at Fairmont State from 2015-2019 and had a great career. Some of his accomplishments include: 16th all-time leading scorer at Fairmont State with 1,722 points, First team all-conference 1x, and apart of the 2016 NCAA national championship runner-up team. Jason was the picture-perfect image of "Heart Over Height" as he stood at 5'8".

Isaac Thornton 4th

Coming in at the 4th spot is Isaac Thornton. Isaac played at Fairmont State from 2009-2013 and is the 7th all-time leading scorer at Fairmont State with 2,106 points. Other accomplishments of his include: First team all-conference 2x, First team all-region 1x, and also led his team to the sweet sixteen in 2013. Isaac was an elite scorer which set him apart from other college players, because he was able to get a bucket anytime he wanted.

Thomas Wimbush 3rd

Rounding out this page with the 3rd spot is Thomas Wimbush. Thomas is the 17th all-time leading scorer at Fairmont State with 1,719 points, only 3 behind his teammate Jason Jolly. Thomas was a highlight reel waiting to happen. Throwing down big time dunks and blocking shots is what he did. Thomas was first team all-conference in 2017 and was also first team all-region in 2017 as well. Thomas helped lead the falcons to the 2016 national championship game until falling short. That is why he made it this high on the list because team accomplishments are more impressive than individual accomplishments.

Onto the 2 best players in Fairmont State Basketball history since 2000!
