Information

Renovated by the OMMI architect firm, completed in 2010. Reasons for renovation include growing student rate and last renovation falling short of fulfilling the college's needs in 1974. The building updates list relocation of the front door from second floor to the first floor. Probably because of obvious reasons. The rest of the revamping contains a 5000 square feet expansion to incorporate a starbucks justified in spec sheet by terming it an “internet cafe/lounge area.” Not upset, just enjoy the humor of it. To finish filling up 5000 square feet two more additions were added. I.T. help desk/printing copying center for any technological help desires and multimedia classrooms for more in depth visual learning. OMMI also credits themselves for addressing the ADA  accessibility compliance concerns. They achieved that by disability access to the majority of the inner campus without encountering major obstacles. Giving students ground level access to all buildings that make up the academic core of the campus. Done tastefully without much obvious design regrets. Offering a change in the majority concrete/brick facilities by incorporating fun shapes and wide open windows in parts of the library.
