The Engineering & Technology building's history/design
A partnership effort designing the blueprint for the (ET) building by OMMI and the Design Alliance Team made the learning space come to life. It’s described by the spec sheet from OMMI as a 40,000 square feet addition to the wallman building. Costing a whopping 15 million dollars. Justifiably labeled as a transformed look compared to its siamese brother wallman. The main design task was a change in brick structures. At the time 14 structures on campus all consisted of brick as their main exterior material while the falcon center proved the only unique layout on campus. Since then 2 eccentric buildings have been constructed being University Terrace and ET. The new facility opened up space for new programs and agreeably livened up the campus more. Giving my thanks. The main exterior materials of ET incorporate dark metal panels and silver trimmings. Arguably stylish ashy green stained glass boxes creating thousands of lines around the complex. Giving it the respectable nickname the “minecraft building.” Tasteful around some edges but an improvement to the precast structures around our university.
