Celebrations have various activities spanning out several days. They hold book signings, workshops, discussion panels, and poem readings.
Many of the events for the Kestrel celebration are held at the Folklife center on the Fairmont State University Campus.
Due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 the previously in person events became virtual for the safety of those involved.
Despite this change the events was still able to remain similar to how it had been done in the past.
This event happened very recently and was held at the Folklife center.
